Dan Parsons

  • Owner of Freediving Central
  • Molchanovs Freediving Instructor for Wave 1, 2 & 3
  • PADI Freediving Instructor for Freediver and Advanced Freediver
  • Survival Apnea Instructor

Dan Parsons is one of Australia’s most experienced freediving instructors. He has always been an avid waterman, surfing his entire life and freediving for the last 8 years. Dan has travelled all around the world training and freediving with some of the best competitive freedivers of all time!

Dan has worked as head of safety for an international film and documentary company, providing safety for world renown underwater videographers and photographers, working in various remote locations around the world on expeditions. He has also worked with leading whale scientists and the Olympic canoe slalom team. Dan’s experience and value for safety is something that he applies to all of his freediving. Dan knows how important it is for students to feel, and be safe and comfortable while they are learning to dive.

Dan freedives for his absolute love for it, for relaxation and for the joy that comes from seeing his students achieve personal goals, become comfortable with new techniques and find their love for freediving too.

“I have always had a really busy mind and freediving is the one thing that slows it down. When you’re diving all you think about is what you’re doing in the ‘right now’. You completely focus on the moment and it is so peaceful. Freediving has been life changing for me. My goal is to share this experience with everyone I dive with, so that they can find their own joy from freediving, whatever that may be.”

Evan Stafford

  • Molchanovs Freediving Instructor for Wave 1, 2 & 3
  • SSI Freediving Instructor Level 1, 2 & 3 (Evan was the youngest person ever to be certified as a Level 3 SSI Instructor!)

After discovering his passion for freediving in Koh Tao, Thailand, Evan could not suppress his drive to succeed in this sport. Within months of Evan’s first freediving course, he was diving to 50m and holding his breath for over 6 minutes.

Evan’s true calling is sharing his love of freediving with others around him. During his years of teaching Evan was certified as a Wave 3 instructor, helping students to better understand freediving and in turn have a better understanding of their own diving capabilities.

Evan has dived all over the world and is a freediving junkie. He prides himself on his patience and fun loving attitude ensuring good times galore for all his students, as well as helping them to edge forever deeper and truly test their limits.
