QUESTION

Do I Need to Be a Strong Swimmer to Start Freediving?

No. You don’t need to be a strong swimmer to start freediving. If you’re comfortable in the water and can move calmly, that’s enough for a beginner experience.

What Actually Matters More Than Swim Strength

Freediving is slow and relaxed. You’re floating, breathing, and learning to move efficiently rather than swimming hard. Calmness, body awareness, and feeling at ease in the water matter far more than strength.

In our beginner sessions, everything is taught progressively and at your pace. There’s no pressure to perform and no expectation that you’re a confident lap swimmer.
