Join us in the water for the sealiest social weekend away!
This is a fun, wholesome weekend of diving with seals, exploring epic dive sites, and enjoying relaxed social time in and out of the water around Narooma on the NSW South Coast — including dives at a secret beach and of course a dive with he seals at Montague Island.
Expect playful seal dives, beautiful coastal and drift dive locations, easygoing fun dives, and plenty of laughs. When we’re not in the water, we’ll be winding down with pub feeds, good chats, and quality time with a like-minded community.
The plan is to arrive in Narooma on Friday, where we’ll kick things off with a group dinner, or alternatively arrive early on Saturday morning if that suits you better.
On Saturday morning, we’ll head to Mystery Bay for a relaxed fun dive. Mystery Bay offers two different bays to explore, with shallow rock formations, deep channels, and stunning underwater terrain that makes it a favourite dive site.
After lunch we will time the tides and do a beautiful drift dive up or down the Narooma Inlet this is always a lot of fun!
On Sunday Morning, bright and early we’ll head straight out to Montague Island for our seal dive. We’ve booked a private boat exclusively for our group, with a 20-minute boat ride from Narooma to the island.
We’ll have three hours in the water with the puppy dogs of the sea — SEALS! Montague Island is home to a large, year-round seal population. One side of the island is known for the playful males, while the other is home to mums and pups, offering an incredible and varied experience in the water.
After docking back at the wharf around midday, and if tides permit, we’ll jump in for a dive under the wharf, a spot well known for sightings of huge bull rays. Despite the name, they’re gentle and friendly.
We’ll wrap up the weekend with a group lunch to finish on a high.
This is a social weekend away — a chance to hang out with friends and fellow freedivers, reconnect, and enjoy some good old-fashioned fun and laughter both in and out of the water. This weekend is for all levels including absolute beginners!
There are plenty of accommodation options in and around Narooma, ranging from campsites to hotels and Airbnbs. If you’re interested in organising a group stay, we recommend booking early. A group chat will be created for all participants to help coordinate accommodation and logistics.
