What Coaching Looks Like on a Freediving Trip
Take our Bali trip in Amed. Most days start with yoga, followed by a morning line dive with instructors alongside you. Theory workshops, a pool session on arrival day and breathwork sessions fit in around the diving. The week finishes with a final line dive and a photo shoot.
The group is small, and coaching is matched to each person’s level. The trip suits complete beginners through to instructor-level divers. All three freediving certification levels are included in the trip, so you can come home with a new qualification as well as new skills.
Plenty of guests head home with personal bests. That tends to come from steady, relaxed coaching over several days rather than from pushing hard. Having the same instructors with you all week means they get to know how you dive and what to adjust.
Not every day is a coaching day, and that is deliberate. There are rest days, free afternoons and optional activities so your body and mind can recover. Trips built around whales, seals or other wildlife spend more time with the animals, so check the details of each one.
