How Our Trips Balance Adventure and Training
Marine encounter trips, like swimming with humpback whales in Tonga or seals in Narooma, are led by the experience rather than the training goal. These are largely surface based, so the focus is on being in the water with the animals safely and comfortably, not on hitting a personal best depth.
Other trips, including our Bali and Fiji adventures, weave structured freediving training and certification into the week alongside the adventure elements. You get pool and depth sessions with an instructor, plus optional extras like yoga, sauna, or ice baths, so the days can be as intensive or as relaxed as you want them to be.
A dedicated training camp leans further toward the coaching side. Expect daily depth sessions, closer one on one attention from instructors, and a schedule built around helping you progress, rather than a mix of diving and downtime.
None of this is fixed once you arrive. Every activity on our trips is optional, so even on a training focused week you can dial things back, and on a holiday style trip you can ask for extra coaching if you want to push your progression.
Not Sure Which Trip Style Fits You?
