Photography, Freediving & Sailing Liveaboard Trip

We are very excited to share with you our Photography, Freediving & Sailing Liveaboard Trip! The first of its kind in Australia, this trip brings to you a playground of opportunities for seasoned photographers and those wanting to learn photography.

Freediving Central have teamed up with two of Australia’s best and most talented photographers, Matt Horspool and Roger Koenig. For 4 days and 3 nights we will stay onboard a liveaboard maxi yacht, sailing around the Whitsundays Islands participating in photography workshops, photographing the islands and marine life, snorkeling and freediving.

Combining the insane landscapes, sunsets and sea life of the Whitsundays with the wealth of knowledge Matt and Roger have, is a recipe for some incredible photography to come. Whether you are just starting out on your photography journey, or you’re already an experienced photographer who would like to upskill or hone in on particular skills, this trip will give you the techniques required to master the art form of Photography and Underwater Photography!

While onboard you will also have the opportunity to take part in a Wave 1 (level 1) or Wave 2 (level 2) freediving course, train on the line and progress in your freediving, or just freedive for fun and relaxation! There will also be plenty of time to fun dive and explore the waters at your own pace as we cater the trip to what the group would like to do each day.

HOW OUR EXPERIENCES CHANGE PEOPLE

Just enjoyed the hell out of a 4-day liveaboard freediving trip in the Whitsundays! Excellent instructors, super laid back, supportive and professional, plus an awesome yacht/kitchen crew to match. I went by myself and quickly made about 20 great friends. Highly recommend for all levels of diving experience, including total newbies.

I recently went on Freediving Central's 4-day boat trip around the Whitsundays and can't recommend Dan and the team enough! It was my first time freediving and I'm hooked! The group was a mix of experienced and beginners and they catered to everyone's levels so well, so everyone was reaching their own goals whilst enjoying themselves. I felt completely safe the whole time and had so much fun with the guys. If you're looking for someone to learn or continue learning freediving with, you will not regret going with Dan and the Freediving Central team!!

Went on the Freediving sailing trip in June with Freediving Central and had the most amazing experience. Dan, Kate and Shazzy did an awesome job teaching Freediving to everyone, from all levels. Between morning yoga and breath work, delicious food, perfect weather, the crew... it was perfect. Would recommend to anyone interested in freediving or just anyone wanting to meet amazing people and have a good time.
