Beginner Freediving Course Sydney, The Central Coast and Jervis Bay

How the Course Runs

Day One – Foundations & Pool Training

We start on land with a clear, practical introduction to freediving safety, equalisation, breathing, relaxation, and mindset. From there, we move into the pool to put it all into practice — covering dynamic apnea (underwater swimming), technique, and essential buddy rescue skills in a calm, controlled environment.

Day Two – Open Water Freediving

Day two is where everything comes together. Across two open-water sessions, you’ll work on equalisation, free immersion (pulling down the line), and depth diving (kicking down the line), gradually building confidence and comfort at depth.

Progression is individual — there’s no pressure to perform. We focus on correct technique, relaxation, and enjoyment, not pushing limits.

More Than Just a Course

For many people, this weekend becomes the start of something bigger — regular training, ocean adventures, trips away, and a community that supports safe, enjoyable freediving long after the course ends.

You don’t just leave with a certification.

You leave with skills, confidence, and people to dive with.

Learn to Freedive in Sydney, the Central Coast & Jervis Bay

Come for the diving. Stay for the people. This is where it all begins. Over two days, you’ll learn to move calmly through the water, hold your breath with ease, and dive to depths of 10–20 metres on a single breath, in a small-group environment that’s relaxed, supportive, and genuinely fun. But this course isn’t just about the numbers. It’s about learning to slow down, trust your body, and discover the underwater world, alongside like-minded people doing the same thing. Whether you’re a complete beginner or already comfortable in the ocean through surfing, spearfishing, swimming, or scuba, this course is designed to meet you where you’re at. Many of our students arrive a little nervous. Most leave feeling calm, capable, and connected, not just to the ocean, but to the people they’ve trained alongside.

What to Expect

  • Gain real confidence in the water, faster than you thought possible
  • Feel the calm that comes with proper breath control and relaxation
  • Learn alongside a small, welcoming group — no pressure, no performance
  • Master the skills to safely buddy dive after the course
  • Have those moments where everything just clicks

Price range: AUD$550.00 through AUD$600.00
